Today, Pinwheel, the market-leading income layer for financial services, is proud to announce that the company’s own Lauren Crossett is being promoted from Head of Commercial to Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
For the past seven-plus years, Lauren has worked on connectivity APIs at Quovo, Plaid, and now Pinwheel. Prior to joining Pinwheel, Lauren led Plaid’s wealth team and focused on bringing the delightful Plaid user experience to traditional wealth management companies. Lauren’s unique combination of fintech and traditional financial services experience has proven to be an asset at Pinwheel as she works towards the company’s mission of building a fairer financial system.
Continuing Pinwheel's momentum
Lauren joined Pinwheel in October of 2020 and was critical to helping Pinwheel continue to innovate its product offerings and expand its partnerships with key fintech clients such as Cash App (Block). Lauren was directly responsible for managing the team that sells, implements, and services the Pinwheel API, which leads the market in conversion rates, powering over 4.6M processes per month, a 400x increase from the previous year.
Last year, Pinwheel increased its annual recurring revenue by 177x, an impressive growth metric that helped secure Pinwheel’s Series B funding. As the new CRO, Lauren plans to continue this momentum by further building out the company’s best-in-class team of sales, account management, partnerships, and solutions specialists. Lauren will also expand Pinwheel’s roster of customers and partners, with an emphasis on fintech companies and traditional financial institutions.
“Lauren brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team, and she’s been an instrumental part of our continued growth and success over the past year, helping to more than triple our customer base in the last year,” said Kurtis Lin, CEO, and co-founder of Pinwheel. “I’m excited to see Lauren continue strengthening our presence in the fintech ecosystem.”
“At Pinwheel, we’re focused on building a fairer financial future by providing the income layer that makes it easy for businesses to securely connect payroll accounts to their applications with consumer permission,” said Lauren Crossett, Chief Revenue Officer of Pinwheel. “I’m hyper-focused on growing our network of financial institutions and fintechs so we can help these businesses bring tools and services to market that will help create a fairer financial system for all consumers.”
